How do practices pay for Akoua?

Practices pay by card or invoice through Stripe, with a customer portal for seats, receipts and plan changes. One rate covers the whole practice, set by its size — minimum two clinicians in Australia and New Zealand, billed together. (UK bands start at a single seat.)

Outside Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, clinical access and practice pricing are not open yet — register interest rather than using an Australian checkout.

Seats

• Seat additions are prorated — add a clinician mid-cycle and you’re charged for the remainder of that cycle.
• Seat removals apply at the next renewal, rather than refunding partway through a cycle.
• One billing cycle per practice — everyone renews together, not on their own individual sign-up dates.
• Cancel via the portal any time — it’s self-serve, so you don’t need to email us to stop.

The rate is set by the size of the practice, so a larger practice sits in a lower per-clinician or per-seat band. Australia and New Zealand use the AUD practice bands; the United Kingdom uses its own GBP seat bands.

Annual billing

Practices can switch to annual for twelve months at the price of ten. For larger groups beyond the published regional bands, talk to us at hello@akoua.ai.

Individuals

If you’re subscribing on your own rather than through a practice, you pay via Stripe on the web, or in-app through the App Store on iOS or Google Play on Android. One subscription covers all your devices either way.

Tax follows the practice’s region. For Australian practices, GST is added on top of every listed price at checkout; New Zealand practices are billed the listed AUD figure. United Kingdom prices exclude VAT, which is applied at checkout where applicable. Read how GST is handled or how VAT is handled for the applicable region.
