How does Akoua turn spoken follow-ups into tasks?

Say “I’ll order a right-knee MRI and chase the report” during a consult and Akoua drafts it as a dated action item. Spoken follow-ups become dated items — and nothing self-saves.

The dates come from what you said

A follow-up spoken as an interval — “review in six weeks” — is drafted with a date on it, so it becomes something you can act on rather than a line buried in the plan.

Both the wording and the date are drafts. Check them the way you’d check anything else: the date Akoua worked out is only ever as good as what was actually said aloud.

Reviewed and confirmed, like everything else

Tasks go through the same gate as the note — reviewed and confirmed before they’re saved. Nothing self-saves.

Akoua also won’t invent a follow-up nobody mentioned. It drafts from only what was said and makes no clinical inferences, so if something was agreed in your head but never spoken, it won’t appear. Say it aloud in the room and it will.

It is a documentation aid, not a diagnostic device: it does not suggest management that wasn’t spoken, and it never decides what should be followed up. That stays with you.
