Can I use Akoua for a meeting or an MDT?

Yes. Akoua captures the discussion and gives you minutes, decisions and dated action items — confirmed before they’re saved. Nothing about a meeting works differently from a consult in that respect: the draft waits for you.

What you get back

• Minutes — structured from the discussion, drawn from only what was said.
• Decisions — recorded because they were spoken, not because Akoua worked out what the group meant.
• Dated action items — spoken follow-ups become dated items, reviewed and confirmed like everything else.

An item exists because someone said it out loud. Akoua makes no clinical inferences and does not decide what a group concluded, so if the decision wasn’t stated in the room, it won’t appear in the minutes. Anything absent is marked [not stated] rather than filled with plausible-looking text.

Things worth knowing before you start

Consent works the same way it does in a consult: recording starts only after consent is confirmed in the product, and Akoua asks again when someone new can hear the conversation. In a meeting room, people arrive late — expect to be asked again.

Attribution is binary, and it lands after the meeting rather than during it. The live transcript is unattributed; speaker labels appear only in the final transcript, and only where the available evidence supports them. Akoua tells your voice from everyone else’s, and when it’s unsure it says so rather than mislabelling. It is not a per-person register of who said what around the table, so if a minute needs a name against it, that’s yours to add during review.

Review it like any other draft

The same flags apply: a dotted underline means “not sure I heard this”, a highlighted block means “heard it, couldn’t place it”. Work the queue, then confirm — and nothing is finalised or exported until you do.
