What can I do in the Akoua web app?
The web app is the full product in a browser — capture, review, letters, tasks and, for Australian organisations, billing hints — with nothing to install and passkey sign-in.
The web app is the full product in your browser — capture, review, letters, tasks and, for Australian organisations, billing hints. There’s nothing to install and sign-in is by passkey. Clinical access is open in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, and coming soon elsewhere. Use au.akoua.ai for Australia and New Zealand; the United Kingdom deployment for the United Kingdom.
The whole workflow, in a browser
Akoua transcribes a consented session in near real time, then tells your voice from everyone else’s once capture ends — when it’s unsure, it says so rather than mislabelling. It structures the note from only what was said, flags anything it wasn’t sure it heard or couldn’t place cleanly, and marks anything absent as [not stated] rather than padding it with plausible filler.
Nothing is finalised or exported until you confirm. Akoua is a documentation aid, not a diagnostic device — it makes no clinical inferences, and every draft requires your explicit review and confirmation.
After the consult, the same app drafts referral letters on your letterhead, turns spoken follow-ups into dated action items, and — for Australian organisations — offers a deterministic, read-only draft of likely MBS item numbers with its reasoning shown. Letters and tasks you confirm; hints are read-only. The full walkthrough is on the product page.
Nothing to install
There’s nothing to install — you open it in a browser on whatever machine you’re at. Sign-in is by passkey (WebAuthn) by default, with a password and TOTP fallback. Clinical data is encrypted in transit and at rest with AES-256, stored in Australia on the AU Sovereign and Global profiles and in the United Kingdom on UK Sovereign, and every access is written to an append-only audit log. Akoua does not yet hold formal certifications; privacy by design sets out the posture in full, including what’s still on the roadmap.
One subscription, every device
One account covers every device you use. A subscription started inside a mobile app is billed by that app store; everything else goes through Stripe. Pricing has the detail.
If you also work at a desk on a PC, the Windows app covers the consult room and telehealth — and in the room, the iPhone and Apple Watch app captures from the pocket or the wrist.
