How do I get a note into my practice software?
Australian practices can connect Cliniko or Nookal today; everything else exports as clean text and PDF/A you paste or attach, with the other integrations still on the roadmap.
By pasting or attaching it — or, for Australian practices using Cliniko or Nookal, by sending a confirmed note straight there. Everything else exports as clean text and PDF/A, which you put into your existing systems yourself, and we’ll say “integrated” only when it is.
What export gives you
- Clean text — paste it straight into the patient’s record in your own software.
- PDF/A — attach or send it as a self-contained, archival document.
Nothing exports until you confirm the note. The confirm step is the same gate that saves it, so an unreviewed draft can’t leave by accident.
Cliniko today, the rest on the roadmap
Cliniko is connected today for Australian practices and enabled for the United Kingdom deployment; Nookal is currently disabled, ahead of its activation approvals.
Still on the roadmap: Best Practice, Medical Director, HealthLink, Medical Objects and My Health Record. None of those five is live, and we haven’t published dates. They are Australian systems, as are Cliniko and Nookal — no UK-specific or New Zealand practice software has been announced, and we won’t list one without a date behind it.
That’s a deliberate way to say it. “Integrated” is a word clinicians make purchasing decisions on, so it stays unsaid until it’s true — the same reasoning that runs through the whole product.
Exporting a note isn’t exporting your account
Copying a single note or letter out is a different thing from taking a copy of everything held under your account. For that, use the in-app controls or email privacy@akoua.ai.
For how a letter gets to the point of being exportable in the first place, see referral letters.
