Akoua 1.1.4 for Windows makes the desktop app feel more settled: clearer Akoua Cloud choices, a region change that can apply itself, and review controls that stay composed from the default window size through to a wide screen.
A clearer Akoua Cloud choice
The welcome screen now replaces the old generic cloud/self-hosted choice with a clearer Akoua Cloud selector. Australia and New Zealand are explained plainly, so clinicians can choose the right service before signing in without having to decode a technical label.
Change region, then restart in place
Changing the saved Akoua Cloud region requires the app to restart so the new choice can take effect safely.
Windows previously told people to quit and reopen Akoua, but closing the window correctly leaves Akoua running in the system tray. Version 1.1.4 instead offers Restart Akoua now after the change is saved. The app quits, relaunches and applies the new choice in one step, without asking the clinician to find the tray’s separate Quit action.
The restart remains unavailable while a recording is active or finalising.
Review that fits the window
Draft status, note style and Re-draft now form one responsive toolbar. It stays balanced at the default window size, uses the available space on a wider display and falls back cleanly when the pane narrows. Transcript A− / A+ controls remain close at hand and keep the selected reading size.
Long lists and review content now fade gently into the warm bone canvas instead of ending with a hard edge and a large empty strip at the bottom.
Recording, telehealth capture, draft review and confirmation otherwise work as before. Every generated item remains a draft until you review and confirm it.
