Google Play now lists Akoua for Android version 1.1.7 in Australia and New Zealand. Its public What’s New notes cover a more accurate paused timer and steadier interrupted-recording recovery.

Google Play’s 1.1.7 release note says recording timers stay frozen while paused and resume from the captured-audio duration, rather than counting the quiet gap.
Steadier interrupted-recording recovery
The same public release note describes more reliable interrupted-recording recovery and paired-device handoffs, so stale actions cannot interrupt phone recordings.
Wear OS remains separate
The matching Wear OS 1.1.7 companion update is not yet available on Google Play. Its separate article will remain unpublished until that watch release is independently visible on the Store.
