Version 1.1.5 makes starting, reviewing and refreshing a consult clearer and more reliable on Android.
Make the processing choice before you begin
If a consult needs separate permission for transcription and note drafting, Akoua can now show both disclosures together before recording. Each still explains its own provider and purpose; permission for one does not stand in for the other.
When recording is already available but note drafting needs a separate choice, that choice can appear at the start too. You can agree then, or choose Record without note drafting and return to the drafting decision when you review the consult. Choosing to record does not record a refusal of note drafting.
If the offer expires while you are deciding, Get a fresh offer brings up the current details. Ordinary consent to record is still required for every consult.
Speaker colours with more room between them
The transcript’s speaker colours have been spread further apart in both hue and lightness, matching the updated web and desktop palette. They are easier to distinguish without changing the speaker labels or making colour the only way to follow a conversation.
Named speakers also keep their names in the transcript instead of falling back to a generic role label.
Colour helps you follow a speaker; it does not establish their identity. Akoua still keeps uncertain attribution visible rather than guessing.
A calmer, more useful review
Draft checks now say Checking… while the transcript, note and marker checks are still running. The failure warning and Retry action are reserved for a completed error, while Confirm continues to wait until every check has answered.
You can add a custom section to the note without changing its template. If someone who spoke is still unnamed, Who was speaking? takes you to the existing transcript rename control without pretending their identity is known or dismissing the item for you.
The Needs your eye card is tighter too, with + more and Dismiss sharing one footer line. Duplicate-medication items now say Medication listed twice, keeping you on the safe read-only review path when there is no unambiguous change to apply.
Patient details stay put while they refresh
Pull-to-refresh now keeps the last loaded patient details, consultation history and letters visible if a required refresh fails, with an inline Retry instead of replacing the whole record with an error screen.
An older refresh also cannot visually replace a patient edit that was saved after that refresh began.
Still yours to review
Every generated note, letter or task remains a draft until you review and explicitly confirm it.
